Dubbed “The Don of All OGs,” this strain has quite a name to live up to. A popular medical strain in Southern California, Godfather OG, like many other OG strains, is often recommended for insomnia and pain due to its sedative indica properties. The Don is a result of crossing XXX OG and Alpha OG, and there is a kushy spiciness in its scent coupled with some subtle grape notes. Godfather OG is powerful; with THC levels that have been measured as high as 28%, this strain is an offer you can’t refuse. Godather OG won 1st Place for Best Indica at the 2013 High Times Cannabis Cup in Los Angeles.

Known as the “Don of all OGs,” Godfather OG is an indica cannabis strain that produces buds that are dense and frosted with a plethora of trichomes. Its scent and taste are of pine and freshly churned earth, with sweet undertones of grape.

The parent strains of Godfather OG is a cross between the indica Bubba Kush, indica L.A. Confidential, and indica Granddaddy Purps.

THC content for Godfather OG can be high, averaging between 22%-25%. This strain isn’t recommended for beginners because of its sedative qualities – its high is known to place the consumer into deep relaxation quickly and hitting hard. Reviewers have noted its ability to help alleviate insomnia, pain and aches, headache and even mental stress. This strain is best consumed at night before bed.

Besides usual dry mouth and eyes, Godfather OG can cause dizziness or paranoia when too much is consumed at once, especially because of its higher THC qualities.

By far the hardest hitting Indica I’ve smoked. Leaves a burning sensation in the chest but besides that this is a 5 * strain. Exotic terpy flavor. And the Shatter was like gold with a slight amber color when balled up. Definitely a night time str as in unless you are a Indica smoker mainly, like myself

This is now a favorite of mine for Indica. Nothing at all in the head … total body relaxation. Very peaceful. I had some ringing in my ears – hmmmmm. Might have been the Poppers. LOL Not like want to go to sleep, but you want to be in bed with a laptop surfing the web, playing a little quiet music like Dave Rawlings Machine. Absolutely a peaceful beautiful high.

I have severe insomnia, and this is hands down the best sleep med I’ve experienced. Immediate rush of euphoria and body high, leading to extreme relaxation and sleep. I slept through an entire night for the first time in over a year.
